PRIVACY
The Explainable Broker is built to examine benefits decisions—not collect sensitive health information. This page explains what information the site may receive and how it is used.
Last updated: August 28, 2026
The site may receive your email address when you subscribe; the information you enter when you submit a case, including your role, email, problem description, consent choice, and no-PHI confirmation; and information you provide when you schedule a conversation.
Do not submit PHI, diagnoses, claimant details, identifying information, employer or client identities, confidential files, or details that could identify a person or group. General decision patterns are enough.
Send The Readout and related publication emails.
Manage subscriptions and email preferences.
Review case submissions for possible analysis in The Readout or From the Lab.
Follow up when a submission or scheduled conversation calls for it.
Operate, protect, and improve the site and its forms.
A case submission is for consideration. It is not a promise of analysis, publication, or a response. Your consent choice controls whether an anonymized case may be considered for publication. Choosing “Private only” means the submission should not be published.
Beehiiv manages the website, subscriptions, and publication emails. Airtable receives and stores case submissions. Cal.com supports scheduling. When you use those features, those providers process information under their own privacy practices.
You can unsubscribe from publication emails at any time using the link in an email. Service or administrative messages may still be sent when needed to complete an action you requested.
Information may be kept as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, to maintain records, or to meet applicable obligations. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no website, email, or online form can be guaranteed completely secure.
The site may link to other websites. Their privacy practices and content are their responsibility.
For a privacy question or a request about information you provided, reply to an email from The Explainable Broker. Please do not include PHI or confidential material in the request.
General information only. This page does not create an advisory, insurance, legal, tax, medical, or consulting relationship.
